Opened in 2015 as the third hospital in the Vinmec group, this is the international-tier hospital closest to District 1: 178 beds at the foot of the Landmark 81 tower, on the west bank of the Saigon River. It has been JCI-accredited since 2017 and re-accredited most recently in 2024, and its intensive care and emergency department run around the clock.

What it is known for

Being close to the centre and being new. Vinmec Central Park opened in 2015 inside the Vinhomes Central Park development on the Saigon River, sharing a street address with the Landmark 81 tower, and it is the international-tier hospital a visitor staying in District 1 or Binh Thanh can actually reach quickly. It is a compact 178-bed hospital rather than a sprawling one, with intensive care and emergency medicine staffed around the clock, operating theatres, a catheterisation laboratory and radiotherapy. It was first accredited by JCI in 2017 and re-accredited most recently in 2024, and the group holds an American College of Cardiology accreditation for its heart services.

Who it suits

Insured travellers staying in the centre, families, and anyone who wants international-standard care without the trip south to Phu My Hung. It handles maternity, paediatrics, cardiology and planned surgery as well as emergencies. Two things to know before you rely on it. Outpatient clinics keep office hours — weekdays and Saturday morning — so an evening problem means the emergency department rather than a clinic appointment. And Vinmec publishes its language support at group level rather than for this hospital, so ask what interpretation is available when you telephone.

Cost and insurance

International prices, comparable with the other foreign-facing hospitals in the city and far above anything public. Vinmec deals with international insurers through a central medical-tourism desk, but a guarantee of payment has to be arranged with your insurer in advance; without one, expect to pay at each step and to leave a deposit on admission. Ask for a written estimate before any procedure. Keep the itemised receipt and ask for an English-language discharge summary before you leave, because a claim will be refused without them.

Getting there

On Dien Bien Phu at the Vinhomes Central Park entrance, just south of the Saigon Bridge and about four kilometres from Ben Thanh Market — ten to fifteen minutes by taxi outside the rush, longer when Dien Bien Phu backs up in the evening. Grab and Be both serve it, and the Landmark 81 tower is the landmark to give a driver who does not know the hospital. No separate emergency number is published, so use the switchboard, +84 28 3622 1166, or call 115 for a public ambulance.

Details checked against the hospital’s own website, September 2026. Call before a non-urgent visit; in an emergency call 115 or the hospital’s own emergency line above. Travel information, not medical advice.
