Say “rong phayaban Pattaya Inter”. Soi 4 runs between Beach Road and Pattaya Second Road near the northern end of the strip; walkable from hotels along it.

A mid-sized private hospital tucked into Soi 4 in North-Central Pattaya, a few minutes’ walk from the beach. It has been treating foreigners for decades: English-speaking staff, a 24-hour emergency room with its own ambulances, and outpatient clinics that handle the everyday complaints of a beach city — stomach bugs, sunburn, scooter scrapes and infections.

What it is known for

Location and long experience with foreign patients. Pattaya International Hospital sits on Soi 4, a short walk from Beach Road in the north-central part of the city, and has been the default private hospital for tourists and expats in that area for decades. It is a mid-sized general hospital with English-speaking staff, a 24-hour emergency room, its own ambulances and outpatient clinics that see the everyday complaints of a beach town: stomach bugs, ear and skin infections, sunburn, dehydration and scooter scrapes.

Who it suits

Visitors staying in North or Central Pattaya near the beach who want to be seen in English, quickly, for something that does not need a major hospital. It is also a sensible first stop for a moderate injury when you are close by: the emergency room can stabilise and refer. Complex surgery and serious trauma are better taken directly to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.

Cost and insurance

Mid-range private prices — well below Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, above the public hospitals. Some insurers have direct-billing arrangements; otherwise pay and claim, and ask for the estimate first. A deposit is asked for on admission. Outpatient visits are usually settled at the cashier on the day, so carry a card that works abroad; the hospital will write an English medical certificate and an itemised receipt for a claim if you ask.

Getting there

Soi 4 runs between Beach Road and Pattaya Second Road towards the northern end of the strip; the hospital is walkable from hotels along that stretch and a few minutes by songthaew from Central Pattaya. Phone +66 38 428 374, 24 hours. Tell the driver “rong phayaban Pattaya Inter” or simply “Soi 4”; the soi is narrow, so a taxi may drop you at the Second Road end and the hospital is a short walk in.

Details checked against the hospital’s own website, September 2026. Call before a non-urgent visit; in an emergency call 1669 or the hospital’s own emergency line above. Travel information, not medical advice.
