Da Nang's riverfront turns into a light show after dark: the Dragon Bridge glows and shifts colour along its full steel body, the Han River Bridge swings for ships in the small hours, and the promenades on both banks fill with strolling families, night markets and cruise boats. It is the most Da Nang thing there is — modern, loud, and completely free.

The Fire Show

On weekend nights (traditionally around 9pm on Saturday and Sunday), the dragon's head breathes real fire and then blasts spectators with mist — the closest riverside stretch is gleefully soaked. Arrive early for a rail-side spot near the head on the east bank, or watch from a rooftop or a river-cruise deck with a drink in hand.

Making a Night of It

Pair the show with the Son Tra Night Market beside the bridge, a slow loop of the riverside walk past the Love Bridge and the carp-dragon statue, and a nightcap in a riverfront café. Boats depart from the DHC marina area all evening if you want the skyline from the water.
