Bệnh viện Đa khoa Quốc tế Vinmec Times City

Say “benh vien Vinmec Times City”. At 458 Minh Khai in Hai Ba Trung, inside the Times City development — drivers know Times City itself, about twenty minutes from the Old Quarter.

Vinmec’s flagship hospital in Hanoi, inside the Times City development on Minh Khai in Hai Ba Trung. It runs an emergency department alongside centres for cardiology, oncology, paediatrics, women’s health, gastroenterology and hepatology, immunology and allergy, and the group states that it has been accredited by Joint Commission International three times running.

What it is known for

Scale and accreditation. Times City is the flagship of the Vinmec system, purpose-built inside a large residential development in Hai Ba Trung, and the group says it has held Joint Commission International accreditation three times in succession — the international benchmark for patient safety, and something only a handful of hospitals in Vietnam hold. It is organised around specialist centres rather than wards: cardiology, oncology, paediatrics, women’s health, immunology and allergy, gastroenterology and hepatology, alongside an emergency department. Vinmec states that by the first quarter of 2026 the hospital had handled more than 8.6 million patient visits and close to a million operations.

Who it suits

Insured travellers who want an internationally accredited hospital, families with children, and anyone staying in the south or east of the city, for whom this is much closer than Dong Da. It is the natural second opinion to Hanoi French Hospital, and the two are the only genuinely international-tier options in the capital. It suits planned care as much as emergencies: Vinmec publishes a service price list, which makes it easier than most Vietnamese hospitals to know the cost before you commit.

Cost and insurance

International-tier pricing, in the same band as Hanoi French Hospital and many times what a public hospital charges for the same treatment. Vinmec works with a list of partner insurers and can bill some of them directly once a guarantee is in place; without that arrangement you pay on the day, and a deposit is normal on admission. Check the published price list for the procedure you need, ask for a written estimate anyway, and keep the itemised receipt and the English-language discharge report for your claim.

Getting there

At 458 Minh Khai in Vinh Tuy, inside the Times City development in Hai Ba Trung, roughly four to five kilometres south-east of Hoan Kiem Lake — about twenty minutes by car from the Old Quarter when the traffic is kind. Grab and Xanh SM know Times City by name, which is the easier thing to tell a driver; the hospital is signposted inside the development. The hotline is +84 24 3974 3556, and the emergency department is reached through the same number.

Details checked against the hospital’s own website, September 2026. Call before a non-urgent visit; in an emergency call 115 or the hospital’s own emergency line above. Travel information, not medical advice.
