Da Nang's nightlife splits neatly in two: rooftops and lounges glittering above the Han River downtown, and a low-slung, barefoot bar scene in the An Thuong quarter behind My Khe beach. Neither takes itself too seriously, closing times are humane, and the city's compact size means you can sample both sides in one evening.
Above the City
The riverfront towers carry the marquee rooftops — panoramic decks where the Dragon Bridge's colour changes play out below your glass. Dress codes are relaxed by big-city standards, sunset slots fill first, and the views are best on the east-bank side looking back across the river at the lit skyline.
Down at Street Level
An Thuong's grid of lanes serves craft beer, cocktail shacks, late-night bánh mì and an easy expat-meets-traveller crowd, all a two-minute walk from the sand. Downtown, look for the brewery taprooms and live-music cafés along the river; things wind down gently rather than raging till dawn.
