Vincom Plaza and Riverside Malls in Da Nang

Đà Nẵng's two riverside malls sit on opposite banks of the Hàn and do opposite jobs. Vincom Plaza on Ngô Quyền is the full-size, air-conditioned mall on the Sơn Trà side, closest to the My Khê beach hotels. Indochina Riverside Towers on Bạch Đằng is smaller, older and modest on shops, but it stands on the best stretch of the west-bank promenade, minutes from Hàn Market and the Dragon Bridge. Pick by which bank you are sleeping on.
Vincom Plaza Ngô Quyền
The east-bank all-rounder, built into the riverfront tower complex on Ngô Quyền, and the one to use if the hotel is on My Khê. A WinMart supermarket covers groceries and beer runs, a multiplex covers rainy evenings, and there are floors of Vietnamese and international fashion chains, a games arcade and kids' zone, and a food court where a plate lands at roughly 50,000 to 90,000₫. Cinema tickets run about 60,000 to 120,000₫ depending on the day and format. Hours are roughly 9:30am to 10pm. A Grab from the beach strip takes under ten minutes.
Indochina Riverside Towers
Location over inventory. The retail floors amount to a handful of shops, a small supermarket, cafés and restaurants — nobody comes here to shop hard. What it has is the address: directly on Bạch Đằng, facing the water, a short walk from Hàn Market and the Cathedral, with terrace tables looking straight across the river. That makes it a fixture on weekend nights, because the Dragon Bridge breathes fire and sprays water at 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and the promenade outside is one of the better places to stand for it. Be at the rail by 8:30pm.
Working them into a day
Neither mall justifies a dedicated trip. Vincom pairs with a beach morning — swim at My Khê, eat, then cross the road for the afternoon when the sun turns brutal. Indochina Riverside pairs with the old centre: Hàn Market, the Cathedral, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, then the riverfront at dusk. Both are useful bolt-holes in the September-to-December rains, when a Đà Nẵng afternoon can vanish under a downpour. Mall food courts cost well above the street stalls and remain cheap by any outside standard; the coffee chains charge roughly 45,000 to 70,000₫ a drink.
