Marble Mountains Caves & Views in Da Nang

The Marble Mountains are five limestone-and-marble outcrops that erupt from the flat coastal plain south of the city, each named for an element. Thuy Son, the biggest, is the one you climb: a warren of stairways, grottoes and lookouts stacked above the beach road, ten minutes from My Khe and on the way to Hoi An.
Into the Caves
The showpiece is Huyen Khong Cave, a vaulted chamber where shafts of light drop through ceiling openings onto the shrine below — mid-morning on a sunny day is when the beams go full cathedral. Am Phu, the "hell cave," is its theatrical opposite: a dim descent past carved judgment scenes, then a scramble up to daylight.
Climb, Views & the Village
An elevator skips the first flight of steps, but the summit paths are still proper stone stairs — wear grippy shoes and go early to beat the heat. From the top, the whole coastline from Son Tra to Hoi An unrolls. At the base, Non Nuoc village has carved marble for centuries; today's workshops source stone elsewhere, but the craft is the same.
