Phu Quoc's northwest corner is one giant family playground: VinWonders, Vietnam's biggest theme park, packs in roller coasters, themed lands, a water-park wing and one of the country's largest aquariums; next door, Vinpearl Safari runs open-plains bus rides past giraffes, zebras and big cats. Add the canal-side spectacle of Grand World and you have a full day or two — without touching a beach.

Inside the Parks

VinWonders splits into themed zones — coasters and drop towers, water slides, and The Sea Shell aquarium, a conch-shaped hall of sharks, rays and thousands of reef fish. The Safari's bus loop puts giraffes and lions at window height, with a walking zoo and keeper talks between rides. Both parks are big: pick your must-dos early, note show times at the gate, and expect serious tropical heat by noon.

Planning the Day

The parks sit side by side near Ganh Dau, 30–40 minutes north of Duong Dong; combo tickets covering VinWonders, the Safari and shuttle buses are usually the best value — check the current bundles before you go. Morning is the Safari's sweet spot, when the animals are active and the buses uncrowded; save the water park for the hot afternoon, then roll into Grand World at dusk for the canal, light shows and street performances.
