Who it suits
Travellers with insurance staying in Pulau Tikus, Tanjung Tokong or along Gurney Drive, where it is the nearest large hospital, and anyone whose problem needs full specialist cover rather than a clinic. Getting there
On Jalan Pangkor in Pulau Tikus, off Jalan Kelawai and a few minutes inland from Gurney Drive, so it is the closest of the five to the Gurney and Tanjung Tokong hotels and about ten minutes from the heritage zone by car. Penang International Airport is a good half hour south in ordinary traffic and longer in the evening peak. There is no rail on the island, so a Grab or a taxi is the practical way; the shuttle the international office runs is for booked patients rather than walk-ins.
