Silver & Love Waterfalls in Sa Pa

Two waterfalls anchor the road west out of Sa Pa toward the O Quy Ho pass. Silver Waterfall (Thác Bạc) drops a couple of hundred metres in a bright ribbon right beside the highway, while Love Waterfall (Thác Tình Yêu) hides a short forest walk away inside Hoang Lien National Park — together they make an easy, scenic half-day paired with the pass itself.
Silver Waterfall
About 12 km from town, Silver Waterfall announces itself from the road — a tall cascade streaming down the rock face, with a stepped path zig-zagging up to viewing platforms in the spray. It's a quick stop: twenty minutes covers it, longer if you linger over the valley view. There's a small entrance fee, and roadside stalls grill snacks and hot corn against the mountain chill.
The Walk to Love Waterfall
A few kilometres further on, near the Tram Ton gate where the old Fansipan trek begins, an easy trail of roughly a kilometre follows the Golden Stream through pine and bamboo forest to Love Waterfall — a fan-shaped fall tied in local legend to a fairy who fell for a woodcutter's flute. Both falls thunder in the rainy months, roughly May–September, and thin noticeably by late winter.
