Cebu IT Park in Cebu and Bohol

Cebu IT Park is a modern business district in the Lahug area of Cebu City. It was built for technology and outsourcing companies, and thousands of people work here day and night. Around the offices are cafes, restaurants, bars, hotels and a popular night food market. It is one of the easiest places in Cebu to walk, eat and spend an evening.

A district that never sleeps

Many companies in IT Park serve customers in other time zones, so people work in shifts at all hours. Because of this, the area stays busy late into the night. Many cafes and restaurants open early and close late, and some are open around the clock. The streets are clean, with sidewalks, trees and security guards. For visitors, this makes IT Park a comfortable area to walk around after dark. It also shows a modern side of Cebu that is very different from the older city centre.

The night food market

IT Park is home to Sugbo Mercado, an open-air food market held on set evenings each week. In 2026 it left its old lot and began moving to a new lot nearby, beside the JPMorgan Chase office, so check that it is open before you go. Dozens of small stalls sell grilled meat, seafood, noodles, desserts, drinks and dishes from many countries. Seating is shared, so you can buy from several stalls and eat at one table. It is popular with young locals and office workers, and it gets busy after work. Bring cash, although some stalls take e-wallets.

Cafes and restaurants

IT Park has one of the largest groups of cafes in Cebu. Many are good places to work on a laptop, with Wi-Fi and power outlets. Restaurants range from Filipino comfort food to Japanese, Korean and Western dishes. The Ayala Malls Central Bloc mall and the streets around it have many choices in one place. Bars and live music spots open in the evening. Prices are higher than street food, but still reasonable. On weekends, the area is more relaxed, and families come to eat and shop.

A base for your stay

Many visitors and business travellers stay in or near IT Park. There are hotels in a range of prices, plus serviced apartments for longer stays. The area is in the north of the city, closer to the hills. From here, it is a short drive up to Tops Lookout and the mountain viewpoints of Busay, where you can see the whole city at night. The old city centre and Fuente Osmeña are about 15 to 30 minutes away, depending on traffic.

Getting there and around

From Mactan-Cebu International Airport, IT Park is about 45 minutes to over an hour by car, as traffic in Cebu can be heavy. Taxis and Grab cars are easy to find. Inside IT Park, everything is close enough to walk. Jeepneys run along the main roads nearby and are cheap, but routes can be hard to understand for first-time visitors. For short trips around the city, Grab is usually the simplest choice. Avoid driving at rush hour if you can.
